2009-2010 Assets and Opportunity Scorecard

OK Policy and the Oklahoma Asset Building Coalition are pleased to partner with CFED to release the 2009-2010 Assets and Opportunity Scorecard, a comprehensive look at wealth, poverty and the financial security of families. The Scorecard ranks states in 6 issue areas: Financial Assets and Income; Businesses and Jobs; Housing and Homeownership; Health Care; Education; and Community Investment and Accountability.

The Oklahoma Asset Building Coalition and CFED issued press releases on the Scorecard’s findings for Oklahoma. The release was prominently covered by the Tulsa World andAssociated Press, among others.

You can see the data for Oklahoma online or as a 4-page PDF state profile. The Scorecard homepage is the starting-point to view the data on all 50 states and for detailed discussions of dozens of state-level policies to build and strengthen assets. CFED has subsequently released a 1-page Asset Poverty Profile for Oklahoma.
