Fall 2020 Internships – DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 31!
OK Policy is now accepting student applicants for internships for the fall semester. Interns have the opportunity to work as full members of the OK Policy team and participate in most activities of the organization. We are a non-partisan think tank working to promote adequate, fair, and fiscally responsible policies and expanded opportunity for all Oklahomans. If you’re looking to be part of a team that’s fighting to make Oklahoma better for all Oklahomans, this might be the place for you. The new deadline to apply is 5:00 pm Friday, July 31.
The following internship opportunities are available:
- Public Policy Internship (Tulsa office or remote) – Policy interns may be asked to write blog posts on state policy issues, help with data collection and formatting, assist with our advocacy efforts, help to coordinate events, and help with office administration.
- Open Justice Oklahoma Data Internship (Tulsa office or remote) – The OJO intern will become familiar with analyzing court data to better understand our justice system. They may be asked to do things such as data entry, data analysis, and cleaning data into a standardized format. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and patient person to work with messy data and support our work to open the black box of our justice system.
- Communications Intern (Tulsa office or remote) – The Communications intern will have opportunities to be part of many different aspects of our work. You may be asked to do things such as designing for print and the web, helping with video and audio production, supporting special events, participating in planning and strategy meetings, and other duties as assigned.
If you wish to apply for more than one position, please submit a separate application for each position.
One of these positions may be right for you if:
- You are a college student, OR
- You are a past graduate looking to reenter the workforce, gain new experience, or change careers, AND
- You have a demonstrated interest in communications and/or public policy.
Participants are chosen through a competitive application process. Interns in all positions will be expected to work between 15 and 20 hours per week depending on their schedules and availability. We are happy to cooperate with your institution’s requirements for academic credit.
Interns are paid $11 per hour.
Internships are open to both current undergraduate and graduate students (must have completed a minimum of 24 hours of college credit) and to recent grads (December 2019 or later).
Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24. All applicants will be contacted regarding interviews no later than July 30.
