FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TULSA, OK (April 2, 2019): Oklahoma Policy Institute today launched a search for a new Executive Director to replace David Blatt, who announced last week that he intends to step down from his position once a new leader has been selected and brought on board.
OK Policy has engaged Switchgear Search and Recruiting to lead the Executive Director search. Applications will be accepted until Friday, April 26th. The position profile and instructions on how to apply can be found at https://okpolicy.org/EDsearch.
OK Policy is looking for a leader who can build on the organization’s excellent reputation, cement its role as an integral part of Oklahoma’s nonprofit policy structure, and build the infrastructure to support the organization’s recent growth. “Our ideal candidate for this position will be a strong manager and leader with a deep commitment to data and policy analysis and a track record of raising money from private foundations,” said Board vice-President Felicia Collins Correia and past Board chair Ann-Clore Duncan, who are co-chairing the search.
Oklahoma Policy Institute, based in Tulsa, advances equitable and fiscally responsible policies aimed at expanding opportunity for all Oklahomans through research, analysis, and advocacy. Launched in 2008, the think-tank currently has a full-time staff of 16 and an annual $1.8 million budget raised through a combination of grant funding and individual donors.
The new Executive Director is expected to be in the position by early fall of this year.
