What’s on the ballot for the November 3, 2026 elections in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma voters will head to the polls for a statewide general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Here’s an overview of what’s on the ballot, and you can find your sample ballots and polling place through the Oklahoma Election Board’s OK Voter Portal.

State Questions – SQ 845 and SQ 847

All Oklahoma voters can vote on the two state questions appearing on the Nov. 3, 2026 ballot:

  • SQ 845: Judicial Nominating Commission changes. SQ 845 would change the rules for who can serve on Oklahoma’s Judicial Nominating Commission and how its members are selected.

  • SQ 847: Changing assessment caps for property tax. SQ 847 would further lower Oklahoma’s assessment caps for property taxes beginning in 2027.

Primary Runoff & Local Elections

In the November general election, voters will decide races in which candidates from more than one political party are running. Although many races were effectively decided in the primaries because only one party fielded candidates, several races remain to be determined in November.
  • Federal races will include one U.S. Senator and all five Congressional districts. 
  • Statewide offices will include governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, treasurer, superintendent of public instruction, labor commissioner, insurance commissioner, and corporation commissioner.
  • All Oklahomans can vote on retaining a combined nine judges on the state Supreme Court and the Court of Criminal Appeals.   
  • Some county offices will also be on the ballot. Several cities across Oklahoma will hold municipal elections for local offices and ballot measures.

When can I vote in this election? 

On Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can find your polling place and sample ballot through the OK Voter Portal.

The deadline to register for this election or update your voter registration, including party affiliation, is Friday, Oct. 9, 2026 by 5 p.m. 

The deadline to request absentee ballots is Monday, Oct. 19. Mailed absentee ballots must be received by your County Election Board no later than 7:00 p.m. on election night. Hand-delivered absentee ballots must be received by your County Election Board no later than the close of business on the Monday before the election.

Early voting will be available at your county’s designated early voting location. A list of early voting locations are available here. 

Early voting dates and times are:

  • Wednesday, October 28 | 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 29  |  8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday, October 30   |  8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October  31  |  8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
