Taylor Broadbent joined OK Policy in December 2025 as its Tribal-State Policy Analyst. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and brings a strong background in Indigenous governance, Tribal policy, and public affairs. Taylor holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts in Letters – Constitutional Studies from the University of Oklahoma. Taylor’s professional experience includes roles with the Office of the Director of the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs and the South Central Climate Adaptation Science Center. She was an author on the Fifth National Climate Assessment and previously served as a Congressional Intern for Senator (then Congressman) Markwayne Mullin. She is a recipient of the U.S. Fulbright Anne Wexler Scholarship in Public Policy to Australia, the Morris K. Udall Foundation Scholarship, and was a Rhodes Scholarship finalist. Taylor is passionate about Indigenous governance, civic engagement, and gender equity. In her free time, she enjoys reading (mostly about vampires), watching sports (especially OU football and volleyball, Thunder basketball, and Baltimore Ravens football), and spending time with her family, friends, and beloved pets.
